Quiros, Alicia (nee: Posada), age 98, of Wayne, formerly of Hawthorne, on Friday August 30, 2019. Born in Sonson, Colombia, Alicia immigrated to the United States in 1969, settling in Paterson. She moved to Hawthorne in 1979 and lived there until she moved to Wayne in 2012. She had been a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians in Paterson.
Alicia was the beloved wife of the late Jose Dario Quiros (2003). Loving mother of Joseph Quiros and his wife Nora of Chester, NJ, Oscar Quiros and his wife Margarita of Bergenfield, Louis Quiroz and his wife Beatriz of Butler, and the late Beatriz Quiros (2012). Dear grandmother of Monica Ozden and her husband Birol, Carolina Rodriguez and her husband Christian, Stephanie Long and her husband Erik, Melissa Quiroz, Tatiana Dale and her husband Evan, Andrea Vanvoorhis and her husband Darell, Natalia, Santiago and David Osorio. Dearest great-grandmother of eight. Alicia is also survived by her sister, Noemi Uribe and predeceased by her brother Carlos Posada and her sister Lucille Pareja.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. Mary Help of Christians R.C. Church, 410 Union Ave., Paterson. Entombment of ashes will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
