Born in Paterson, Tony lived in Hawthorne since 1965. He was employed as a platform worker for Arrow Carrier, North Bergen for over 40 years. Tony was a member of the Teamster Union, Local 560, Union City. Mr. Monda served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church, Hawthorne where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbia. Tony was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion, both in Hawthorne.
Tony was the beloved husband of over 51 years to Helen Monda (nee: Dalessio), loving father of Karen Monda and Teri Monda, both of Hawthorne, dear brother of Bette Baliman, her husband James, of Hawthorne, brother in law of John Dalessio of Hawthorne, Dolores De Vito of Haledon and Joseph Pagnozzi of North Carolina, dear friend of Bill and Lila Cirignano of Fair Lawn.
