Obituary


WITTEN- George, III, 66, a lifelong Haledon resident on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born in Paterson, NJ.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War, and was awarded The Purple Heart. He was a member of D.A.V. Argonne Chapter and The Veterans Club of Haledon.

He was Co-owner of Witten Brothers Trucking Co.

Survivors include his beloved mother Jean (nee Sutton) Witten of N. Haledon. Also surviving a loving daughter, Victoria Maresca and husband Nicholas of Mt. Arlington, NJ and three sons, George IV of Lake Hopatcong, Steven of Kentucky and Jeremy and wife Debbie of N. Haledon.He leaves behind his dear sister Barbara Rozynski of Greenpond. George was predeceased by his brother Roy Witten. There are 13 dear grandchildren surviving.

Funeral service Wednesday 10:30 AM at Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, NJ Burial to follow at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery, Wyckoff. Visiting will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
