Louis J. (“Joe”) Molinelli III, 60, of Hawthorne, N.J. and Saratoga, N.Y. passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 after a two year fight with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Kamila and daughter Cassandra, his sister Susan Turissi of Hamilton, N.J. and her husband Robert; brother John of Woodcliff Lake, N.J. and his wife Tammy, as well as his niece Carolyn Molinelli and nephews Robert, Christopher and Nicholas Turissi and Johnathan Molinelli. He is survived by an uncle and many cousins. Born in Jersey City, N.J. he was the son of Louis J. (Jr.) and Carolyn Molinelli. He worked for 40 years in the printing and business service industry, serving as COO of Hygrade Business Group of Secaucus, New Jersey. Aside from being an avid sports enthusiast, Joe loved thoroughbred racing, especially at his beloved Saratoga Race Track, where both he and his wife Kamila were regulars.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, N.J. from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral will depart at 9am on Saturday, February 9, 2019 for a 9:30am funeral mass at St. Anthony’s RC Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Ave., Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 58 McLean Blvd, Paterson.
Calvary is an above ground facility so flowers are limited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Saratoga War Horse Foundation, a 501( c)(3) organization that assists veterans suffering from invisible psychological wounds by providing an equine assisted experience as a form of therapy.
