Marjorie J. Korteweg, 80, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 14, 2019. She was born at Paterson General Hospital in November, 1938, and grew up with her family in Paterson where she graduated from Eastside High School. For many years she was active with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, where she was Past Commander of Division 10, Flotilla 10-13. As a Wyckoff resident of 41 years and former educator she was always active in the community, the Chamber of Commerce and scouting.
Marge was predeceased by her parents, Alice (Blasberg) Sutton and George Sutton, her husband, Jack Korteweg, and their daughter, Wendy Korteweg. She is survived by her brother John (Jack) Sutton of Belgrade, Maine; Niece, Nancy Vailas and her husband, Alex, of New Castle, New Hampshire; Nephew, Richard Sutton and his wife Robin Lippert of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and cousins Patty Bombolevicz and Linda Gorun of Hawthorne, New Jersey; Walter Blasberg of North Hero, Vermont; and Penny Shada of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as great nieces and nephews.
