Obituary

Oscar Predmore, 88, of Fair Lawn NJ., passed away on February 13, 2018.

Oscar was born in Hawthorne, NJ. to Frieda and Oscar Predmore. He was raised by his mother and, from an early age, stepfather Frank Bruno. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lillian (Doris) Predmore, his son John Predmore and his wife Cathy, his daughters Dorisann Simone and Mildred Predmore, twin sister Frieda Potishnak, brothers Fred and Frank Bruno, and sister Janet Branvall. He was predeceased by siblings Mabel Palastro, Laura Black, and Robert Predmore. Oscar was a loving “Poppy” to his grandchildren Jaime Inglez and her husband Sandro, Christopher Predmore and his wife Melissa, Dylan Predmore, Autumn Predmore, and great-grandchildren Hannah Inglez, Summer Inglez, Madison Naraine, and Ella Predmore.

Oscar was a man who valued hard work, loved his family, and was blessed with compassion and good humor. A proud deli-man, he worked for many years at Jahn’s Deli in Woodridge, NJ., and at A&P in Midland Park, NJ. Oscar treated everyone with kindness and touched many hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
