Conti, Carmine L., age 97, of Wyckoff, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born and raised in Little Falls, Carmine had lived in Wyckoff since 1961. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was involved in the initial assault of Guadalcanal as a machine gunner. After his service to his country, Carmine worked as an insurance salesman for John Hancock for 30 years, and then as a salesman for Aramis-Estee Lauder for 21 years.
Carmine was the beloved husband of the late Rosalie (nee: Travia) Conti (2009). Loving father of Nadine Conti and Bonnie Hufnagel. Dear grandfather of Rebecca and great-grandfather of Sophie and Piper. Dearest brother of John Conti and Mary Dinger.
A graveside service with Marine Corps military honors will be held at 11:00 on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne.
