Browning-Forshay have been a godsend for me and my family. Having lost two parents within a year and a half, their kind attention to every detail was SO appreciated. Mike is a very competent guide in these processes. Being very personable, he put me at ease, answering all my questions and accommodating our requests. I highly recommend this funeral home. God bless them! - Mary Kruithof (Richmond)

Dear Deacon George, Once again I wanted to extend my gratitude to you and everyone at Browning-Forshay who shared in the planning of my cousin Marshall Whites Funeral. From the first moment we walked through the doors till we drove away at the grave sight, yourself, Michael Firrinili and everyone whom participated had such compassion and spiritual insight that you made us feel comfortable even in our grief. You have such an important position in our lives and it wasn't till now that I understood the total concept of your passion to be there for our fellow man. I really do commend you. I believe each second of life is a miracle and we walk alongside with Jesus to do the best we can. But when it is our calling it is a comfort to know that we have a place to go that will truly understand. Once Again Thank you from the bottom of our Hearts...........from all our Family and friends. If I can ever help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to call. Sincerely,

René A.

Dear George, This came out so beautiful I just felt I had to share this picture with you. We have received so many positive comments with regard to Mom's cremation and burial. With your help we were able to provide a most dignified service, and a beautiful urn with protective vault. I think we all agree we were able to satisfy Mom's wishes.

George, Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion in handling Natalizia's funeral. She was drawn to your warmth at St. Anthony's and family functions and wanted you to handle her final arrangements. We are grateful for her wisdom - you made things very easy for us. We are aware of how you went above and beyond for us and we want you to know how much we appreciate it. Your words and your actions were so comforting to us in your hour of need. Thank you! Fondly,

The Giannella Family

We appreciate your empathy, generosity, and warm attention to the many details which resulted in a beautiful funeral for Lori. While we hoped and prayed it would not come so soon - you comforted us. Thank you for being a special blessing to our family. Sincerely - with Love,

Leo & Carol

Dear George & Mike, I would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks for all you did to make our sad days bright. The beautiful and dignified manner you conducted all the funeral arrangements from beginning to end will never be forgotten. Your artistic talents made Richard look as if he was sleeping. This truly was a great task for all he had been through. You don't realize when one is so sad & etc. - that a weight is lifted from you all because of your wonderful service. Thank you from a humble & thoughtful ear.

Dear George & Mary, Before too much time passed, I wanted to write and thank you both for your kindness to my family when my mother passed away, already a month ago. Going back to when my father passed away, you and your staff provide a great service to the people you serve. George, I remember when I was singing at funerals at St. Anthony‘s that there was one funeral where there were just two elderly women in the front pew as relatives or friends of the deceased. There was practically nobody in the church. There was the priest (I think it was Msgr. Ciarnpaglio), maybe an altar boy, the organist and me. The casket was moved into place _and when it became clear that no one else was going to attend for the deceased, you walked down the main aisle and sat with those two ladies. Seeing it as I did from the choir loft, I remember being really moved by that gesture, and thinking that it was really kind of you. This is what you do as a matter of course and this is what is so appreciated: your going way beyond your professional responsibilities to the minister to the real needs that people have, at a time when emotions seem so immensely magnified. Your kindness and care meant a great deal to us and it means a lot to all of the families you serve. In a recent telephone conversation, Mary said that at one point she when she was doing this work she always felt a certain sadness. That is from the nature of the work surely, but the comfort that you bring to each family should give you a certain peace. You are helping them to perform one of the corporal works of mercy, burying their loved ones in dignity and peace. Once again, many thanks and I am yours for Life in Christ,

Patricia Stanley
